60 Seconds Can Be Powerful! Edgewood PZC Meeting 5/15/2025 @ 6:00pm

Posted on May 13, 2025
YOUR voice and story can be heard at the
Town of Edgewood Planning and Zoning Commission meeting on
Thursday, May 15, at 6:00 PM.

The EMPAC Attorney and the EMPAC Think-Tank will present OBJECTIONS to a proposed Campbell Ranch Minor Subdivision Application to be heard at the Edgewood PZC on May 15, 2025 (SB-2024-10-002).

Please read the following opposition letters prior to the hearing:

YOUR Public Comments – SPEAK UP at the hearing!

The P&Z agenda indicates that public comments will be allowed at the quasi-judicial hearing regarding the Campbell Ranch development. We know that many of you have something to say, so here’s what you can do:

  1. SHOW UP! Arrive early (we encourage no later than 5:15 PM, if possible) at the Town of Edgewood Commission Chambers, located at 171 A NM-344, Edgewood, NM 87015.
  2. SIGN UP! To address the P & Z Commission during the Public Comment period, you MUST sign up at the Chambers. Make this your priority before finding a seat. Even if you are seated in the overflow room, you will be called to speak to the Commissioners in the chambers.
  3. SPEAK UP! One Minute – it CAN be powerful. Prepare and write your statement. Practice it to ensure it fits within the 60-second parameters and bring it with you. It’s okay if you need to read your statement

This statement from EMPAC’s board president, Dennis Kellogg, speaks volumes.

“We feel that the presence of so many community residents opposing the development and the commissioners realizing there was important information missing from the application were huge factors in the decision to remand.”  (See link to nm.news article below)

Your support, presence, and voice is critical. ONE. MORE. TIME.

Thank you!
